WoodsWalk was created as a planned urban development in 1987. At the time, Palm Beach County recognized that this development needed a homeowners association to oversee the common property, recreational areas, assure the preserves remained untouched, and that all homeowners maintained and improved upon their property.

In 1990 the developer turned over the day to day operation of the WoodsWalk HOA to the residents of the community. Since that time it has been operated by a voluntary board of directors, made up of property owners, to assure its rules and covenants along with other agreements are current. The board also works with the State of Florida, Palm Beach County, South Florida Water Management District and its residents to make WoodsWalk a great community to live.
